Straight off his ranch in Quebec City bywardofmouth.ca had the chance to sit down and chat with a very rare Mook, Tommy Kruise. Now well known for his chopped & screwed sets and mix-tapes, Tommy (who has been traveling around Canada) recently returned from an appearance at SXSW in Austin, Texas. We had the chance to kick it with Mike for a while as we discussed his love for hip-hop, the state of hip-hop, achieving longevity in the game, what artists he likes and is listening to, his greatest advice, the biggest misconception about Mike, his biggest fear, his favorite verse and the strangest place he’s ever performed.

After making the decision to move to Toronto and soaking themselves into the music scene a lot has been going on for them as a group. We met with them at a perfect time to discuss how life has been treating them in the Nation’s Capital.
